He-man: The Parody! is a DP audio mini-series which is a lovingly scathing parody that pays tribute to that childhood favorite, the wonderful cartoon "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe". All scripts in this series are written by Elie Hirschman.

There are 3 episodes in this series and they can be found at http://www.darkerprojects.com/he-man.html.

Features

Thanks to Chris Snyder and the wide load of treasures to be found on the internet, the original music from the show, as well as scene transition sounds and vintage sound effects were used in all three productions.

The show always starts off with Adam explaining (more or less) the story of He-man. The intros of each of the three episodes are different, mocking some aspect of the thinly sketched backstory of the He-man series.

Just as the original series always ended in a serious moral to be learned from the episode, the parody features 3 morals at the end of each episode, though the lesson learned is not always serious, or even remotely important. After the moral read by Orko at the end of the first parody episode, Ryan H. Nelson (who plays the role) stuck in a brilliant ad-lib rant about how unfairly Orko is treated and how the scripts for this series make no sense. After that, it became a standard feature for the episode to close with Orko losing his mind over some aspect of his role on the show.

Eric Busby is always credited with 2 roles that did not actually appear in the episode.
